Loren Roberts wins Boeing Classic SNOQUALMIE — Loren Roberts said Sunday's final round of the Boeing Classic at the TPC at Snoqualmie Ridge would be a shootout. Boy, was he right. Roberts overtook Mark O'Meara with birdies on the final two holes, shooting a 65 and winning by a shot with a tournament-record 18-under 198 in front of 30,000. Roberts, 54, pitched to about 2 feet from 50 yards on the par-5 18th hole, then calmly made the putt for his third title of the season on the 50-and-older Champions Tour, worth $270,000. First Jim Mora Celebrity Golf Classic raises over $245,000 The Jim Mora Celebrity Golf Classic benefited the Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation and the Nutrition and Fitness for Life Program at Virginia Mason. SEATTLE – The Third Annual Jim Mora Celebrity Golf Classic held on August 24, 2009 at the Tournament Players Club at Snoqualmie Ridge raised over $245,000 for local charities, it was reported today. The tournament, which was new to Seattle this year, was raising funds for Special Olympics Washington (SOWA), the Boys & Girls Clubs, the Nutrition and Fitness for Life Program at Virginia Mason, and other local children’s charities through the Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation. Register now for the 2010 Boeing Classic, held August 23-29, 2010. The first 400 individuals to register before October 31, 2009 will receive a $50 giftcard to Callaway Golf! Returning Volunteers will use their navy and red uniforms from 2009 and will only have to pay a $25 volunteer fee. New volunteers will receive $10 off the $75 new volunteer fee until May, 2010. The fans had been waiting for Andy Bean when he pulled up to TPC Snoqualmie Ridge’s first hole in his cart during a fundraising round the day before the PGA Champions Tour’s Boeing Classic.
